Time Project: DNA Splice: TRICEROCHS

This is a hybrid of an Aurochs and Triceratops.
I wanted to ensure it looked that it still looked herbivorous which agressive.

(very basic form)

(legs, tail and head have been stretch from main form)

(beginning to take shape, although body needs more realistic structure)

(rear legs are shortened and shoulders are bulked)

(horns from both animals are added to the head)

(alternative view of the head)

(unfortunately due to its thickness, it needed to be in the oven for a longer period of time leading to the smaller areas of the model to become burnt)

(alternative view)

Time Project: DNA Splice: VELOCIRABBIT

I received some SuperSculpey ovenbake clay for christmas which I found much easier to shape and use. I will now be using that as my main model material. I chose to remake the Velocirabbit because I wasn't content with the model of it I made from Das air-drying clay.

This is a hybrid from the DNA of a Velociraptor and a Rabbit.

(basic form with ears)

(almost finished save for details)

Time Project: DNA Splice - Past & Present (Velocirabbit?)

The making of the VELOCIRABBIT
(Velociraptor & Rabbit)

(basic wire skeleton with tail)

(beginning to take form)

(slightly more shape and detail)

(fur texture and detail added)

Time Project: DNA Splice - Past & Present

For my time project I am going to make clay models of hybrid animals made from the spliced DNA of two animals: one from the past and one from the present. To get some ideas I've cut toy animals and dinosaurs in half and glued the halves together to create the creatures below. I'll use these as references for the clay models - although I'll merge the features of the two more.
